Kwaku Ahenkora, Ph.D
Dr. Ahenkora is a scientist and a business strategist and holds postgraduate degrees in science and strategic management. He has worked and consulted for the private, public and voluntary sectors, in Ghana and the UK. He has served on the boards of organisations, which benefit from his rich academic and practical experience in strategy, governance and business planning. A major focus of his expertise is bio-business strategy, for businesses in the domains of food and agriculture, bio-sciences, and biopharmaceuticals. Earlier in his career, as a scientist with the Crops Research Institute, Ghana, he was the biochemist in the applied research team that developed quality protein maize, Obatanpa. This is the world’s most widely grown quality protein maize, and the work received gold medallion in research from the Canadian government. He has taught in tertiary education institutions in the UK and Ghana, and served as the Dean of the Business Schools of the Christian Service University and Christ Apostolic University Colleges. His involvement in the strategic opportunities in Ghana’s cocoa value chain, led to his recent academic publication, ‘Local consumers’ attitude towards Ghanaian chocolate, and brings the same passion to Transpurple Ghana Ltd.
